The concept can be traced way back in the old times, when men were portrayed as warriors, rulers, and providers of their kingdoms. Does this mean that a man's personal identity is based solely in social norms and expectations, say, defined by Alpha or Beta? Submissive men are not what you always thought them to be. They are more than betas; they have traits that are respected and admired. Submission is not just a female virtue. It's a believer's virtue. Light is to be recognized in a very dark place. Leaders in churches, homes, and communities are vital to genuine leadership. It's easy to misinterpret a man that is submissive. We follow the standard of society of masculinity, and the man of submissiveness is believed to be less macho and soft. However, to disregard with respect the submissive man is to disregard the attributes and commitment of Christ himself. Yes, His submission was so complete that He was obedient to the point of death, even the death of the Cross in His earthly ministry.
