As we got older we discovered that they were just actors playing a role in a film. But believing in their existence gave us a hope that a superhero could come and save us from any vicious villain. Maybe this is what happens with the believer. We begin our journey with innocent faith much like a child. We believe any and everything that God shows us or tells us. But then life has a way of blinding us to that innocence and compels us to lean on our own understanding.
