It was 1988 and she was diagnosed with progressive bone cancer and her dream had told her she was going to have this happy fulfilling life on 1-leg. , This voice said, this life I give you. She was still young and even had all intentions of having a family still. Whatever that looked like, being grateful for her life that she has been given. She was very lucky, because whenever she fell down through obstacles and struggles there was always someone’s strong arms there to pick her up. As she, became more serious with speaking engagements cancer survivors, radio and TV, writing books, traveling all over speaking to other Amputees and lots of children, this gave her, her real purpose.
