Do you know Jesus?

Many church attenders assume that they know Jesus. Many people who barely attend church at all will claim to know God. What happens to someone when they truly know Jesus? Won't their life be changed from before they knew Jesus? It's very possible that today's church has surrounded themselves with talk about Jesus and people who talk about Jesus and assumed far too much. When Jesus asked Peter the question, do you love me? Peter responded, of course I love you. The word Jesus was using for love was very different than the word Peter was using. Jesus wanted intimacy and commitment. Peter was using a very general term for love. Make no mistake God longs for intimacy with us. Many Christians have treated Jesus like a roommate but God will settle for no less than an intimate marriage.
