Do you love yourself?
from Cogitatio Podcast · host Harj
Do you truly love yourself? If you treated others how you treat yourself, how would they react? If you said to others, the things you have thought about yourself, would you have any friends? Even if you don’t love yourself, have you truly accepted yourself as you are? To be honest, it’s difficult in todays society to accept anything about yourself. Everyday I see more transformations of people trying to change themselves, and I am automatically programmed to follow the crowd. How can I help it. I can’t act like I don’t wake up everyday and open my phone first. Or look at all the fitness pages to see how they look. Sitting there with judgmental thoughts. I would be lying if I said I haven’t thought about getting there myself one day. I have tried deleting the apps, logging out, deactivating, changing passwords, setting restrictions, resetting my phone, having a different device for my social media, locking my social apps, tracking my app time, hiding the apps. You name it, I have probably done it. Yet… Last week I spent 7 hours on Instagram and I unlocked my phone on average every 20 minutes. I don’t even want to be on the app unless I am talking to someone, but at the slightest inconvenience in my life, I find myself on my phone. When was the last time you did something because YOU wanted to. Not because someone said its what you SHOULD do. I read this quote the other day, and I love it. “It doesn’t matter what you do, but how much of yourself you involve when doing it.” Whatever you do, do it with your whole being. I have tried something new with the solo podcast above, please let me know if you want more of it, if not I will carry on with the written newsletter as usual. Either way, thanks for reading (and listening too), Harj :) 15/01/2022 Get full access to Cogitatio 🧠📚🏋️♂️ at harj.substack.com/subscribe
