Do You See What He Sees? (Part I)

This week, Bishop Rodgers teaches from 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 on the topic "Do You See What He (God) Sees?" Many Christians ask the question "Why were we created?" God created anyone with a purpose. He created us for an eternal life with Him. God has destined us to change from corruption to incorruption. In addition to fitting us for eternal glory, He has given us the earnest of the Holy Spirit to sustain us here. When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we were born again into the Spirit. Our old ways of thinking and distinctions have been abolished. In Christ, we have a new spiritual life. Our previous sins have been cancelled. We are endowed with the Holy Spirit. Old values, standards and lust have been crucified on the cross. Out of Christ, is death, remorse, hopelessness and condemnation. The Holy Spirit is God's guarantee that we belong to Him and that He will do what He has promised. Information about Jesus cannot transform a person. We must have a "Damascus" experience or a "defining moment," which we decide for God I live and for God I die.
