Do You Trust Him

from His24-7.com · host Rev. Joel D. McMahon III

Luke 5:1-11 Have you ever noticed that when people get in a panic they sometimes do irrational things? They do these things because they feel they have to do something, and they don’t know what to do. In our country right now, many are on the verge of panic. They feel helpless, and out of control of their lives. The pandemic, our current political divisions, the deep divides on so many levels are so frustrating because it seems we can’t do anything about them. On top of this, it looks like God could do something, but isn’t. In the midst of all the chaos, many believers are trying to trust in God, but having difficulty doing it. During the next few weeks we are going to be asking the question, “Can You Trust God?” We begin by asking the question, “What Can I Do?” The short answer is, “Start being obedient in the little things that you know God wants you to do every day, even if you don’t understand why.” You see, obedience in the little things has eternal impact you may not ever even know. So many people put off being faithful in the little things looking for the big thing they can do for God. I think one of the greatest examples of someone deciding what they were going to do for God is Paul. He decided that what he needed to do was stamp out Christianity. The “Big Thing” he decided to to caused untold pain and suffering and death. Our obedience is much more important that what we decide to do for God.

Wisdom's Proof JesusLifeTogether In a world of religion, ritual, hierarchy, control, money, marketing, and more flavors than 10,000 Baskin Robbins — how can we know what is Right and True? Some just give up. Bad move. JESUS LIVES and REIGNS! Some simply "go along to get along" to conform to culture and biological family. Really bad move, unless you are a lemming and don't care about the destiny someone else has chosen for you. But then JESUS, knowing this day would come, said, "By their fruit you shall know them" and "Wisdom is PROVED RIGHT by all her CHILDREN." Luke 7:35 Find some random offspring from whatever you wish you knew more about, look carefully at the second generation, and see if the gates of Hell are prevailing — as they would in a "mere words" and "mere ceremonies" attendance-based religious organization. OR, is satan getting busted in the mouth by that second generation? What is the fruit and the quality of LIVES of the children - once they can make their own choices? Then you'll Know. Wisdom is PROVED
