The World Cup has officially come to an end. From Spain lifting the trophy to the way Argentina suddenly became the tournament’s villain in the closing stages. We discuss how the narrative shifted, whether the criticism was deserved, and give Spain the credit they earned after an incredible championship run. Then we dive into another NBA offseason move: the three-team blockbuster between the Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, and Atlanta Hawks. We explain how the deal saved OKC significant money, why the Hawks may have quietly won by landing Lu Dort, and how the Mavericks are betting on the upside of Zaccharie Risacher. Is this one of those rare trades where every franchise walks away happy? We break down why it has the potential to be a true win-win-win, how Atlanta got let off the hook, and why Sam Presti continues to prove he’s one of the NBA’s premier executives. To close the show, we shift our focus to the NFL as we begin preparing for another season of the Prophet Playoff Theory. We discuss what we’re looking for heading into the year, the teams already catching our attention, and set the stage for one of our favorite annual predictions.
