Dobnak Shines, Royals Fall in Heartbreaker | Kansas City Royals News

Randy Dobnak dazzled on the mound for the Royals, tossing 5⅔ scoreless innings against the Angels with six strikeouts and a sharp changeup—though the team fell 1-0 thanks to a late-game RBI single by Nolan Schanuel. Despite Dobnak’s stellar performance and Craig Kimbrel’s clutch bullpen work, KC’s offense struggled all night, with Jac Caglianone delivering the only hit. The Angels’ Reid Detmers dominated with 11 Ks, and the series now hinges on Sunday’s rubber match featuring Noah Cameron vs. Ryan Johnson—starting at 3:07 PM CT.
