Dobnak’s Fire Start Ignites Royals | Kansas City Royals News

Randy Dobnak’s been a revelation since joining the Royals—posting a 1.73 ERA over 41⅔ innings with elite command and nasty stuff. In his latest outing, he tossed 5⅓ scoreless frames, striking out six on his way to tying his career high, while dominating hitters with his sinker and changeup. Even after loading the bases in the second, he battled back and kept the offense in check. Manager Matt Quatraro praised his relentless attack, and with a 1.75 ERA in six starts now, Dobnak is proving he’s more than just a cash pickup—he’s a rising force in the rotation.
