More than 20 years ago, neurosurgeon Prof Dr Vickneswaran Mathaneswaran set up a one-person Neurosurgery Unit in University Malaya Medical Centre. Today, the unit is recognised as a major Neurosurgical Service and Training Centre in Malaysia.
