Doctor Parenting through Two Adoptions, IVF, Twins & Living Well with Michelle Jorgensen - S7 E79

from Becoming Parents - Birth Stories and Birthwork Wisdom · host Jennifer Campbell

Mother of four through a winding road of infertility, in-vitro, and adoption. After three rounds of IVF, had twins on the first round, two failed rounds after.Adopted two children—one at birth and one at 2½ years old.The adoption journey has been beautiful and brutally hard. Our son struggled deeply—multiple suicide attempts, didn’t finish traditional school, but earned his GED. After years of treatment, he’s now living on his own.I’ve learned this: no one’s bar is yours. Every child’s path is different.I don’t judge other parents anymore—you never know what’s going on behind closed doors.I’ve stayed close to my kids not through punishment, but through love, interest, and presence—piano for choir, volunteering in class, coaching sports, hosting dance dinners and teen hangouts. We worked and lived side-by-side—cooking, gardening, cleaning, and building businesses together. We made mistakes, but our goal was never just to raise good kids—it was to raise great adults. And we did.I own Living Well with Dr. Michelle Jorgensen, a large dental practice, run my social media, etc.FIND HER HERE:https://livingwellwithdrmichelle.comhttps://instagram.com/livingwellwithdrmichellehttps://www.tiktok.com/@livingwellwithdrmichelle
