This story is the one targeted for novelisation... get it?James was writing for Torchwood season two when he achieved his dream to write for Doctor Who, and we learn exactly how that came about. The Fires of Pompeii immediately established itself as a firm fan favourite and was vital in Donna Noble's development into the beloved character she became. This story was also targeted... can we use this joke again? No? Ok.We talk to both writers about their love of Doctor Who, their career beginnings, theatre writing with Rona and short films and features with James.
