Section 52 provides instruction for the first high priests' conference and the calling of missionaries to spread the gospel. Section 53 and 54 address personal revelations to Sidney Gilbert and Newel Knight, respectively. Section 55 outlines the calling of William W. Phelps and the printing of Church materials. Lastly, Section 56 serves as a warning against pride and disobedience, while Section 57 identifies Independence, Missouri, as the center place of Zion and directs the purchase of lands for the gathering of the Saints.
