Larry Sheffield is an Alamogordo, New Mexico based Documentary Filmmaker his film, “Alamogordo, Center of the World, Trinity, 1945 is showing this Friday at The Flickinger Center. He speaks with our AlamogordoTownNews.com host Anthony Lucero about it and the second installment which is finished and ready to show to the public. At Flickinger with a secured date in Alamogordo on May 19, 2023, 7PM to show the film “Oppenheimer After Trinity" This film has already won ten film festival awards and I’m proud to once again bring recognition to Alamogordo on film, as we spend more time, along with very rare and new historic footage, talking about Trinity Site in 1945. The last installment of the trilogy will be the story about Operation Paperclip and the V-2 rockets that were brought over after the war. Once again, Alamogordo takes front and center as this history comes alive in film with the rockets behind our beautiful mountains in the background, coming soon.
