Doe-Ran - Trugoy Tribute (De La Soul Mix)

March 3rd is #DeLaDay, as today, De La Soul's catalog finally lands on streaming services worldwide, after years of legal battles with Tommy Boy Records. It's such a tragedy that the group's legendary MC, Trugoy the Dove (aka Plug 2, aka Dave) passed away just before he was able to witness this celebration. It's still hard to grasp that he's gone. I have been a huge fan of De La from the start and was blessed to have seen them play live numerous times and on 3 different continents. Needless to say I've been pumping their albums non stop since Trugoy's passing and they've inspired me to make a mix of some of my favourite tunes from their amazing catalog. I wasn't able to include every one of my favourites, as there was just too many, but I'm happy with the final selection. As it's De La Day today, there was no better time to drop this mix and I hope you dig it. Let's support De La Soul and get them to the top of the streaming charts. R.I.P. Trugoy. De La Forever.
