from Pathways to Family Wellness · host Dr. Brendan Riordan

In this episode we speak with Dr. Amy Haas about her groundbreaking research project which addresses many of the questions one would have about chirorpactic care, including, "Does Chiropractic Care Influence the Immune System?" The research paper can be found here: https://www.cureus.com/articles/229791-vertebral-subluxation-and-systems-biology-an-integrative-review-exploring-the-salutogenic-influence-of-chiropractic-care-on-the-neuroendocrine-immune-system#!/ Dr. Amy Haas has published original, peer-reviewed research on improvements in Heart Rate Variability (HRV) in patients undergoing chiropractic care and on resolution of sleep and anxiety disorders with chiropractic care, and has presented her observations on chiropractic care and adaptability to audiences across the US, in Canada, and in Europe.  Other peer-reviewed publications include a hypothesis paper outlining potential implications of chiropractic care for restoration of normal intracranial fluid dynamics within the newly characterized CNS lymphatic system and contribution to the Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation's Immunity Best Practices recommendations.  Most recently, Dr. Amy and several colleagues at the Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation published a broad-scope review on the impacts of Chiropractic care on salutogenesis as mediated by the neuroendocrine-immune system, a magnum opus that took four years to synthesize. For her contributions to the Chiropractic profession, Dr. Amy was named 2022 Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation Chiropractic Researcher of the Year.
