Does comedy belong in WWE & AEW? | Scandoval compared to OJ Simpson?

from You're Mean to Me Podcast · host Chris Robinson

On this episode of You’re Mean to Me, we discuss comedy in wrestling. With stars like AEW’s Orange Cassidy and Toni Storm, plus WWE’s R-Truth, does comedy work in wrestling? Antonia is not a fan of the over-the-top character Toni Storm portrays, or the carefree attitude of Orange Cassidy. She does however enjoy R-Truth’s antics on Monday Night RAW, and his quest to join the Judgement Day. Chris disagrees! Then we talk about Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval and his recent comments that “Scandoval” was on the same level of OJ Simpson and George Floyd when it comes to the media spotlight. Chris loses it about this insane comment and chastises the Bravo world for their nonsense. Antonia agrees that Sandoval was out of line, but understands this what Bravolebrities do. We wrap up the show this week with a preview of the coming tension in our marriage: MLB Spring Training! Chris is a fan of the New York Yankees, while Antonia is a lifelong New York Mets fan. Will it end their marriage! Probably not, but it’s fun to poke fun at each other when either team falters during the season. This is You’re Mean to Me! A weekly podcast hosted by a husband and wife from New Jersey who love watching professional wrestling like WWE and AEW, love watching reality TV like the Real Housewives franchises, and are navigating their lives as a newly married couple.
