Years later, Gary encounters a Victorian girl in an old flat, a black mist moving through a mirror, and strange figures appearing in the corner of a hotel room abroad.The account becomes even more disturbing in his current house, where a tall shadow figure appears in the doorway, seems solid enough for a pillow to strike it, and is later seen by Gary’s mother in the same place.
