"Mighty Joe Young" (1998) is a remake of the 1949 film that follows the story of Jill Young, who grows up in Africa alongside Joe, a gentle mountain gorilla with extraordinary size and strength. When poachers threaten their sanctuary, Jill agrees to relocate Joe to a wildlife preserve in California with the help of zoologist Gregg O'Hara (Bill Paxton). In their new environment, Joe becomes a star attraction but struggles to adapt to captivity.
