DOES GOD SPEAK TODAY? IF HE DOES, HOW CAN I HEAR HIM? è Review • HE IS a Speaking God  The Word, the Spirit’s witness, messengers  LOVE’S voice  The mind of Christ  His voice sounds like …. è We are wired to hear His voice (John 10:3-5) è Clutter and static • The world …. The flesh …. The devil (diabolos, accuser, liar, 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:10; John 8:44) è Clearing the static • Worship …. The Lord draws near • The Word …. Meditation and declaration • Prayer …. Speaking and listening • Discipline …. Refusal to engage in anything else è Impressions in your inner man • Acts 15:28; Philippians 2:13 “God is at work in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure” • Legitimacy tests …. Is it True to the Word  Does the Spirit bear witness?  Does wise and mature counsel agree?  Does it last?  Is it peaceful if not comfortable? è Overruled! (Acts 16:7) • Romans 8:28
