Does Racism still Exist?

Racism in America has a long and complex history, with roots dating back to the country's founding. Despite progress made in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, racism remains a pervasive issue in American society. This can be seen in a range of areas, from disparities in income and access to healthcare and education, to police brutality and systemic racism within the criminal justice system. The Black Lives Matter movement, which gained momentum in 2020 in response to police killings of Black Americans, has brought renewed attention to issues of racism and social justice. While efforts are being made to address racism in America, it remains a deeply entrenched problem that will require ongoing work to overcome.
