Does Sin Have Consequences?

(Genesis 2:17).“From the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die”  Sin is a violation of the law of God. Just like “No trespassing” signs say we are subject to prosecution if we violate the trespassing laws, God said to Adam and Eve and the rest of the world that when we have violated His law we will suffer the consequences. God’s law is a reflection of His character. He doesn’t make rules just to make rules.
