he other day we had a listing agent and seller ask us for a copy of the appraisal. Is there anything wrong with that? No, there isn’t anything wrong with the seller’s requesting a copy of the appraisal. BUT, the kicker is it really isn’t ours to give. As a buyer, when you pay for your appraisal, it belongs to you! So as the lender we always refer the sellers or seller’s agent to speak to the buyer and the buyer’s agent. If the buyer decided to release a copy that is totally up to them. They don’t have to though, they paid for it!
