Does the Stigma of Autism Worry You?

In this podcast I talk to Sam Mitchell and his Mom Gina, about the stigma of Autism and how it affects the child, the family and the view other people have. Sam is now 18 (this podcast was recorded before I had my heart attack and I'm catching up on posting these), and he has been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome or simply known as Asperger’s, it is a developmental disorder that used to be a separate condition. However, as of the year 2013, Asperger’s is now no longer a condition on its own but instead, is part of a group known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Sam and his Mom have worked as a mission to end the stigma attached with people with Autism and Sam is making it his life's work.
