Doesn’t Stand a Chance
from Deborah’s Divine Downloads · host Deborah Alicia
What do we really mean when we say someone or something "doesn't stand a chance"? Is that conclusion based on what we know, what we've observed, or what we have yet to recognize? In this episode of Deborah's Divine Downloads, I'm reflecting on the difference between what is unknown and what is impossible, recognition and origin, and discernment and final judgment. We can recognize an unfavorable condition without assuming authority over everything that may follow from it. And just because we haven't witnessed someone change doesn't mean we've been given the authority to declare that change impossible. Through an everyday illustration involving an older sibling, I also explore the difference between wisdom and intimidation, the provision within boundaries, and why another person's unfavorable consequence is not required to establish our own favor. We do better because we know better. And not because others do less. I'm capturing my journey of remembrance. You're welcome to journey alongside me.
