Doing God's Will - Audio

from Chiangmai Christian Fellowship · host Tim Dunham

We come at last to the end of Hebrews, what the author here in verse 22 as a sermon - a brief sermon! He concludes the sermon with a prayer, and as he did throughout the book, what he says in a few short words is packed with tons of content and meaning far beyond what he has “written briefly!” The focus of this prayer is that God would make it possible for us to be fully successful in doing His will! This is truly good news for us. I am often asked “how can we know what God’s will is? How can we be sure we are walking in God’s will?” One of the marks of being a true Christ follower and that we have the Holy Spirit in us and that our heart is being changed is that this now matters to us. There is a sense that God does everything according to a plan and purpose, and we are now part of that plan. It matters, therefore, how we live our life, the choices we make about how we spend our time and energy, and the goals and direction we set for our life! Faith, the conviction of things hoped for and the proof of things not seen forces us to focus on the path ahead, faith is future-focused, calling us to seek God’s will as we live out the rest of our days on planet earth, because we know it makes a difference for all eternity!
