Doing hard things

As humans, we do not like to do hard things. Doing hard things makes us feel 'vulnerable' and strips us of all 'control.' We'd rather do what's comfortable and predictable instead. The only problem is, The only way to truly grow and make progress in life is to keep doing hard things. Hard things are not just necessary for our growth, it is also the source of where we cultivate. our character and self concept. Although we can work very hard to delay doing hard things, its only a matter of time until you'll have to do it regardless. Hard things are part of life and what it means to be human. So its not about trying to avoid doing hard things, its about learning how to do them well. Lately, I've been doing a lot of hard things that make me feel like a total beginner again. I made some observations about how our self dialogue, our relationship with failure, our willingness to be judged & our openness to learning a new skill will always affect the result we create on the other side of doing a hard thing.
