Doing The Work Is Complicated

Doing the Work is Complicated FOR SURE! But, it’s time. It’s time for each of us to do the work in our purpose and watch the world be transformed for the better. Segment 1: What’s Happening Now I saw A Wrinkle In Time opening weekend so giving my brief thoughts on it and why you should definitely see it! Shedding some light on people who have been making a difference and fighting back against what has become the norm for so many, gun violence, in my coverage of the March For Our Lives event. You gotta hear the speech from 11 year old, Naomi Wadler. I am also spotlighting the assassination of Brazilian Councillor, Marielle Franco, who fought tirelessly to upend oppression and institutionalized racism and state-sanctioned violence. Segment 2: Self-Care In the last episode, I talked about finding your purpose. Now, it’s time to do the work, purposeful work. So, I’m giving your 4 Steps to Impact of working in your purpose and transforming the world. Segment 3: Black Excellence Serena Williams. GOAT. We all know how great she is on the court, so I want to talk about how she’s taking her purpose further and doing the work off the court to help others. From her Serena Williams Fund to building schools in Africa and Asia, and fighting for medical equality here in the US, she’s doing the work.
