What this episode covers
Many church planters and solo pastors have a desire to minister to the teenagers in their churches - but they don’t have the staffing or the resources to do so in the same ways as larger churches. Such is the burden of Creston Thomas, a bi-vocational pastor of Christ the Redeemer Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Creston stopped by Rooted’s booth at The Gospel Coalition’s 2021 National Conference, and he asked how a ministry such as Rooted might equip a church like Christ the Redeemer Church to serve the teenagers. Host Davis Lacey, a church planter himself, spoke with Creston about ways to serve teenagers without a traditional “youth group,” as well as resources Rooted offers which would also be beneficial.
