Don’t wait until the last minute to get informed about the proposed changes to the overtime threshold - know now so you can plan ahead! The Department of Labor announced that the proposed changes to the overtime threshold, also known as the salary basis test, will be posted to the federal register in May 2023. Employers have been patiently waiting for this guidance since April 2022. Still, this is only a proposal right now, so there's no telling what may happen once it goes through the necessary legal channels.
