In northern New Mexico, near the town of Dulce, rumors began circulating decades ago about what may exist beneath Archuleta Mesa. According to a series of claims that emerged during the late twentieth century, a large underground installation was built deep beneath the land. The alleged facility became known as Dulce Base. Over time, stories connected to the location described multiple underground levels, restricted laboratories, and activities that were never officially acknowledged. Some accounts traced the origin of these claims to individuals who said they had worked inside the installation. Others argued the entire narrative grew from a small number of sources whose statements spread through conferences, publications, and early conspiracy research. Decades later, Dulce Base remains one of the most persistent underground facility legends in modern UFO history.
