Dolphin encounters! What you should know with Lauren Rust, MSc., Founder and Exec. Dir. of the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network, July 5, 2023

Who knew my encounter with dolphins while boating off Daniel Island, SC , would lead to a bit of controversy and this episode of Conversations with Nicole. I shared the video of a pod of dolphins that swam up to our boat and started jumping up and down and swimming around our boat. I described it as a special gift from God. We did nothing to lure them over to us. We simply enjoyed their beauty and playfulness. My video went viral and caught the attention of my guest, Lauren Rust, the Founder and Executive Director of the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network. This Conversations with Nicole is about educating all of us on marine mammals, specifically dolphins, and that feeding or interacting with them is a federal offense. It's also harmful to their health. I love animals and would never do anything to harm them. I'm thankful to be able to use my platforms for good and in this instance, educate.
