Dolphins Rookies Shine in Key Roles | Miami News

The Miami Dolphins threw rookies into the fire in their win over the Raiders, with six first-year defenders starting and playing every snap—including corner Chris Johnson and linebacker Jacob Rodriguez. On offense, De’Von Achane dominated with 48 snaps as the featured back, while the two-tight end look was abandoned early. The defensive line stayed steady with Sieler, Phillips, and Biggers all logging over 40 snaps, though newly elevated Clelin Ferrell barely played. At CB, Jason Marshall Jr. out-snapped JuJu Brents—possibly due to a penalty—and rookie Julius Wood led special teams. It’s clear: the Dolphins are building for the future, trusting young talent—especially on defense—to carry the load.
