The community has been shaken by the suffering Mandeep Kaur endured by the domestic abuse inflicted by her husband and in-laws. Bal & Taj talk the Sukhvinder Kaur director from Sikh Women’s Aid to discuss what domestic abuse is, the signs to spot and how to get help. Sikh Women’s Aid have supported so many women in the community to get the help they need. They are providing a very important service for domestic abuse victims. There is still so much stigma attached to talking about domestic abuse, with this podcast we hope to build awareness. It is way to open dialogue, to start talking about an issue that is so normalised by many.
