Domestic Violence in the Workplace

from Laura's House's Podcast · host Laura's House

In this installment of our series, we will be speaking with Adriane Nada, a Domestic Violence Clinical Educator here at Laura’s House about the domestic violence in the workplace. A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control found that victims of severe intimate violence lose nearly 8 million days of paid work – the equivalent of more than 32,000 full time jobs and almost 5.6 million days of household productivity each year. Adriane will talk with us more about why this is happening, and what resources are available to those impacted by domestic violence, as well as their employers, to help mitigate its effect on the workplace.
