Donaldson Sentencing Delayed Until October | Belfast News

Former DUP leader Jeffrey Donaldson faces sentencing for multiple sex offenses spanning over two decades, including rape convictions from 1985 to 2008, with his wife also convicted as an accomplice. Sentencing is delayed until October pending medical documents, though victim impact statements have been reviewed. Donaldson has already lost his knighthood and Privy Council membership, and two child victims bravely testified during trial. He remains in Maghaberry prison while his legal team files an appeal, as the judge commended media coverage for its accuracy amid the complex case. A lengthy prison sentence is anticipated.
