Donegal crash funerals: Stephen McCafferty had a "lovely future ahead of him"

from BBC Radio Foyle · host BBC Radio Foyle

A priest has appealed to motorists to slow down and be more careful to avoid more carnage on the roads. Within a 24-hour period last week, and just a few miles apart, five young people were killed in two horrific head-on crashes near Letterkenny. Three of them were buried yesterday and two on Saturday. Fr Eamonn Kelly conducted requiem mass yesterday for 19-year-old Stephen McCafferty at St Eunan's Cathedral in Letterkenny, and told mourners that his life had changed "in the blink of an eye".
