Donegal families locked in their homes due to lack of supports, Dail hears

It’s claimed that some families in Donegal are locked in their own homes due to a lack of psychiatric services or a lack of respite support available for their child. In one case locally, a family which has been effectively cut off from their wider family and have been told there will be no supports for the foreseeable.  The harrowing stores were raised in the Dail last night by Donegal Sinn Fein TD Padraig MacLochlainn who called for urgent intervention from the Government  Deputy MacLochlainn says he can’t understand how this has been allowed to happen:
