As followers of Jesus our lives are defined by our capacity to receive love and our ability to express love. In Luke 7:36-50 Jesus compares two different people, one who is seemingly far from God and another who should be close to him, and the way in which they express love towards Jesus. The outcome of the story is surprising and speaks volumes about the power of forgiveness and what it means in our lives and our ability to receive and express love. This Sunday we will look at this story, our identity as His followers and how we are doing at receiving love from and expressing love to Jesus!
