Don't Be A W.E.N.I- Don't Give Up

Do you feel understood by your spouse?  A study from the Gottman Institute was able to predict with over 90% accuracy whether a couple would still be married in five years simply by observing how they talk to each other.  Communication is key to the health and vitality of any relationship, but this is especially true in our marriages.  Unfortunately, many of us have multiple negative communication patterns that prevent our spouse from understanding what we are trying to communicate.  We need to learn and ultimately eliminate those patterns from our life.  This week, Pastor Chris & his wife Kristell will share how they are learning to overcome these patterns in their own marriage as they help others be understood, known, and loved by their spouse. Discussion Questions:Share a funny or embarrassing story that occurred while you were on a date with your spouse.Why do you think understanding is so important in marriage?When do you feel understood by your spouse?What are your top two negative communication patterns from the W.E.N.I. acronym?Covid-19 Precautions If you’re not feeling well, please wait to attend on campus until you’re fully healthy.We have two on-campus Sunday services: 9:30 and 11am (Our 11:00am service is live online on our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel)We provide kids ministry (birth – 5th grade) at 9:30am and kids and middle school (6th-8th grade) at our 11:00am service.
