Dont Cry for Me (early version)

Don’t Cry for Me (title of song) (written by Daniel Vera) (recorded and mixed by Dave Elke) (mastered by Dale Price) Musicians: Daniel Vera- vocal, acoustic guitar Neobell- percussion Dave Elke- bass, keyboards Lyrics: (first verse) No tengo a nadien Got no money Lord Nor a place to hang My head tonight But the night is young And there’s still time To play my song For there’s nothing That I’d rather do Other than to serenade The girl I loved In the summer time When I was young And had a home (chorus) So don’t cry for me Don’t cry for me Don’t cry for me Mi little hijo For there will be A time when we are free When we are free (second verse) So I play for free For the normal folks Just strolling by And the busy man Whose been locked up For far too long And needs a time So he can rest Regain his sanity For nothing is so easy Other than to slowly die And its not what we want to do So we move our feet and we play our song With the other men who found their home At the docks now And here we play Here we stay Playing songs for our families For our families (chorus) So don’t cry for me Mi little hija For there will be A time when we are free When are free So don’t cry for me Mi little hijo For there will be a time When we are free When we are free (solo) (chorus) So don’t cry for me Mi little hija For there will be a time When we are free When we are free (third verse) When I play for free Can I play for free For the normal folk Just strolling by And the busy man Whose been locked up For far too long For we all need a time We all need a time When we are free When we are free When we’re are all free (chorus) So don’t cry for me Don’t cry for me Mi little hijo No, no, no Don’t cry for me
