Don't Cry Mama Maybe That Human Will Help Us Said the Little Drag
from Short SciFi Stories on the go · host Kelli Korner
From beneath the broken wing of a downed starship, a young dragon girl clutched her mother's claw, trembling. The mother dragon, bleeding from a wound that still hissed with molten energy, whispered weekly, the humans won't come, my child. The humans were ghosts, remnants whispered of in fear, the terror and race, the ones who burned their enemies' gods, and built weapons from the bones of their own dying stars. The mechanic's visor flickered on, revealing tired human eyes, ancient calm and utterly terrifying in their focus. The human's eyes flickered open, distant and weary, because once someone helped us, when no one else did.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/little-scifi-stories-on-the-go--7033804/support.
