Don’t Get Jammed at the Line

The Christian walk is like a wide receiver running a route in football. The defensive back’s goal is to jam the receiver at the line and knock him off his route. Spiritually, the enemy tries to do the same - using distraction, doubt, temptation, and discouragement. Believers must study the spiritual playbook (God’s Word) just like a receiver studies his playbook to know the routes. Studying the Word builds confidence and prepares you for when the enemy attacks early. Scripture and prayer are the spiritual “hand moves” that help you break free from pressure. Keep your eyes on Jesus - the ultimate Quarterback - and run the route He designed. The enemy may slow you down, but he cannot stop you if you stay disciplined and stay in the Word.
