from Are you all in or faded in your freedom · host Branden MacKenzie
TITLE: Don’t get mad at them because you are mad at yourself RESOURCE: Being a dad THE STORY: My son was working on a project for school. He was moving to quick and Reyna ( my wife ) called him on it. He got a little frustrated and shifted his focus to Genevieve his baby sister who was messing with some cables from behind the TV. As he went to get her I saw he was a little aggressive and I told him prior to picking her up. Don’t get mad at her because your mad at yourself. Should have seen the look on his face. Jaw dropped - eyes wide as if he knew I was 100% correct... in that second I realized as I saw him... I saw myself. I quickly ran through a number of times I have been mad at Reyna, my son, work.... life and it was no more than a trigger from a previous situation I failed to walk from and in turn I was walking with. It is as if I was putting the wrong fuel on the fire. It was only a matter of time before those emotions got the best of me just as they did him. MY QUESTION FOR YOU??? ( The question I ask myself ) Where in your life, in the frames you choose to be in with your body, your being, balance and or business. Where are you getting mad at a person, a situation, a thing when the real problem is not within that moment but the failed fire you did not handle when the opportunity to get clarity presented itself. It reminds me of my father ( a wise man ) who often encouraged me to give it 24 hours. A great great recommendation that saved me so many times but there was a problem with it. By not addressing the challenge I faced to a certain level of clarity I was unable to move from it. I carried it with me. Everything in my path from that moment to 24 hours later was in some way affected by it. So the question is clear - where in your life are you getting mad at someone else or something because really - you are mad at yourself? WHAT’S A SOLUTION??? My Solution - I leverage the Warrior Stack App - a powerful series of questions that helps me get more clarity and understanding of the situations in life that .... I fail to immediately understand. I am challenged, I am in the dark but I know there is a lesson within it and I want that lesson. I surely don’t want to take out my lack of understanding on others. Its the raw emotions of anger, frustration, irritation to joy, bliss, gratitude.... be it a good or bad moment I know I can learn from it and step from it with earned presence and power that will serve me and those I care about.
