Don't Give Africans Nobel Prizes?
from Igbo Futurism Discussions · host Nwudo
In this episode I debate whether or not we should celebrate if Chimamanda Adichie or Nnedi Okoroafor won a Nobel prize (especially if their body of work or personal brand do not reflect indigenous ideologies). This is based on a facebook post from a friend which said we should not, because "they do not stand for anything indigenous" therefore the award will be useless to ndi Igbo. And "tomorrow they would use the fame of the award to force negative Western ideologies on our children." Nwudo is a 3-part company comprising of Nwudo Labs, Nwudo & Nwudo Ed.
