News & Notes on Don't Go Breaking My Heart Don't Go Breaking My Heart was originally titled Breakup Boot Camp (and we think Hallmark should have kept the original title). Nina Weinman wrote this movie. She also wrote Playing Cupid (Love Ever After), Two for the Win (New Year, New Movies) and Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater (Countdown to Christmas 2020). The movie took place in Portland, Oregon but was filmed in Langely, British Columbia. As someone who has visited Portland several times, it was fun to see some familiar landmarks in the exterior shots.
