Don't Let Trauma Strangle Your Now
from RealTalk with Ola Hosted by Bròdá Olá
In this episode of The RealTalk Podcast, myself and my guest, Sering Jobe, talk about mental health and therapy from an African perspective. Sering shares his story to finding healing from trauma experienced in his journey from childhood to adulthood as an African man. In this open conversation on mental health, he talks about issues that affect a number of people of African descent, and the tipping point for him to finding wellness for himself. The conversation on Mental Health never stops and we will keep calling attention to it. One by one, we believe we would be able to change the narrative of the African from one where parents are mostly emotionally unavailable to one where parents are intentional with their children because they understand that their legacy is embedded in the gift of love and light they give to their children and from their children's children.
