Don’t poison the ocean with Fukushima's radioactive water !

from Radioactive Show · host Mara Bonacci speaks with Philip White

The storage capacity at the Fukushima nuclear power plant is reaching its limit, and a japanese government committee has come out with a report stating that “the most realistic option is to release treated water into the ocean.” Alternatives for long-term storage on land, including large tank storage and mortar solidification are being ignored. On this week’s radioactive show, we hear from Philip White, a Friends of the Earth member who lived in Japan for many years and has been involved in the campaign to deal with the ongoing disaster at Fukushima. Please sign the petition hereFor more information, check out Friends of the Earth Japan’s website here and here.Image sourced from the petition started by the Citizens' Nuclear Information Center, No Nukes Asia Forum, Friends of the Earth Japan. The music on this episode is "Under Radioactive Water" by Miromiro.
