Don't Quit! How to Stand Firm Like a Lion in Proverbs

Ever feel like you want to quit? Quit your marriage, quit being a parent, quit the diet? Quit on God? Me too and I did for a long time! How do you not give up? These 2 Biblical principles will empower you to never quit! Have you ever been ready to quit? Quit being a parent, quit with your marriage, quit with your job, possibly even give up on God. Quit your diets. I have been there only when it came to my diet. I was ready for more chocolate and I'm really sorry to say that I was dealing with all of that. I'm just being transparent with you, but I want to share with you today three principles that changed my life. You see, when I was going through these issues, I was challenged by a good Christian friend. She says Annette, you got to get back into God's word and I so I'm so glad that she said that because it helped me to realize maybe I haven't been reading God's word for what he has been trying to teach me. Maybe I've just been trying to read God's word for what I wanted out of it, and so I did. I took her up on the challenge and I started reading God's word with a different perspective and I found the answers I was looking for in all of those areas. You see, as I guarded my diet, I was putting a guard up around all the other areas as well, and so she also encouraged me to read a book by Dr. Rex Russell called What the Bible Says About Healthy Living and in this book are three principles that will change your life as well as it did mine, and with his permission, I was able to take these three principles and put it in the Treasures of Healthy Living Bible Study https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/treasures-of-healthy-living-bible-study/. They're timeless, they're proving and their truth, and that's what makes it makes them work. So I'm going to share with you a couple of the principles today because I don't have time to share all of them. The first one is to eat the foods that guide called food. Okay? That sounds oversimplified, but it's not. It's just the basics, the basics for what will make you, what will give your body what it needs, what will give you your heart, the desires that it needs to pump stronger. It will give your mind what it needs to think more clearly. Eat the foods at guide called food and every diet program out there you're like, oh, well I, I did this the whole 30 days. Well, that's based on the foods that God called food. Every good portion of a diet that brings healthy results to you is based on this principle only. Now we're going to give the credit to the Lord, so eat the foods that God called. Good. The second principle Eat these foods as close to the way God designed them. Now that one gets a little tricky, so if you've got questions or comments, just put it in the comment box down below and we'll address that. So if you're wondering, is that pringles potato chip to God's design? No. Is that Oreo cookie close to God's design? No. Sorry to say it's not. In fact, there are so many chemicals used in making the Oreo cookie that you would be surprised that don't even have to be on the label. Labels is another topic we'll cover later. I just want you to get these first two principles and later we'll come back and talk about principle number three. Alright, so here's your quiz. Number one, eat the foods God called good meaning, good for you. Principle number two, eat the foods as close to the way he designed it. Those two principles will change your cholesterol. You will be healthier. It will help you have a healthier heart. It will help your body to fight for you. It will give you an immune system that is strong and vibrant. On guard is I like to say, it will help your mind to just think clearly and here's what I want to share with you because this is what I started with when we start eating the foods that God created for our body, which by the way he created as well. When we give our bodies the foods that he designed for us, all of the other areas will start coming into alignment. As I guarded my kitchen and said, okay Lord, I'm not going to eat the foods you called. I'm going to eat all these processed food. It started interfering with my marriage because I just didn't have the vitality to be the happy wife I, I want it to be as a mother. I just didn't have the energy to do what my kids needed me to do. You see, so changing my eating just with these first two principles changed my entire life.
